we ate lunch at this seafood place and i got
clam chowder in a bread bowl..
susan got "7 seafood soup" in a bread bowl
and it was full of tiny baby squids!!!
when she saw them she freaked and wouldnt
eat it!
they were pretty scary!

Baseball in October.. not what we are used to in Texas! The Rangers tried to win the AL Pennant tonight but lost to the Yankees.. We are still up 3 games to 2... If it goes to game 7 we have tickets!

The Texas Rangers won the ALDS for the first time EVER today, beating Tampa Bay 5 to 1 in game 5! They will play the Yankees for the American League Championship starting the 15th. This pic of Travis and me was from game 4, which you can see from the scoreboard, they lost. It was still fun since it was the first playoff game either of us had ever been to.

Today Travis & I went to the ballpark to watch the Ranger & Rays play in game 4 of the ALDS, the Rangers lost but the one bright spot was Nelson Cruz hitting a home run... THIS IS THE PITCH! Click on the pic twice to enlarge it to full size and you can see the ball in the air about halfway between the pitcher and the batter! How cool is that! Today's date is 10-10-10!

This is the 2010 Camaro, which was styled to resemble the 1969 model... it was the 2009 Indy Pace Car (40 years later) and these were the reverse of the 1969 Indy Pace Car, orange with white stripes... cost about $35,000...

This is a 1969 Camaro, it's special because it's the Indy Pace Car replica, which means it is a SS, RS, convertible, with special hounds-tooth cloth interior.. all of these were white with orange stripes.. this one doesn't have the "Indy Pace Car" decals on the doors..it's for sale in Addison for $28,500.00, about 10 times what it cost new in 1969...

The 2011 Chevy Volt.. the first all electric car built by Chevy, it costs $40,000.00 and it only goes 50 miles on a charge... unless you run the gasoline generator, which will recharge the batteries as you drive, then it goes 300 miles... but you're using gas so its not really all electric... Hmmmm...

Apparently some crazy person at Cracker Barrel thinks its time to put out Christmas stuff, even TREES!!!... I say its just wrong and we should all protest by eating at IHOP instead. BTW today is binary day (100110) which only happens 24 times in a decade.
